This is a very Godly, biblical post!! One that is an answer to prayer that I prayed last night after yelling at my toddler when he wouldn’t go to sleep. I strive to be an understanding, grace-filled mother who extends the patience and mercy that my Father extends to me day by day. I will be remembering your words often as I walk forward with a new perspective!

After yet another long day of homeschooling and feeling like a complete failure at this thing called parenting, I sent all five of my children outside to their dad and have spent some time perusing your blog. This is the last post I read.
I think the Lord knows I needed a swift kick in the rear (or better yet, a slap upside the head!) with the truths He keeps bringing me back to–the law of kindness. Wow!
Thank you for writing this. Thank you for not sugar coating the reasons behind our gruff answers and responses. I have been so selfish and focused only on what I want. Please pray for me that the Lord will not allow me to go on this issue. Please pray that I can ask my children for forgiveness AGAIN and exercise gentleness in all situations. How I long to see that fruit evident in my life!

Thank you for this. I cried because I am guilty of this. I have been praying for God to help me and this helps to know others struggle. I love my kids to the moon and back but I get frustrated lots with their.. Well? Being a child I guess. You are so right. All about me!! Thank you again!
