Actually, Ergo just came out with their 360 degree carrier that allows facing out. I was honestly a bit dissapointed that they did that. But there are lots of other smaller carrier companies that don't offer out facing options, for all the reasons above.

A hip carry in a wrap or ring sling is a really good opotion for a baby who is curious and wants to see out, since it keeps them in a good positionn and still allows them to turn inward if they are getting too stimulated.

Thanks for your input, Kate. I have not worn my babies much in the past, so I'm definitely not a babywearing connoisseur!

"boba's the only company that exclusively sells products that leave baby facing inward."

That is actually not true. Ergobaby also exclusively sells products that leave baby facing inward. The rest of the article I support and agree with, however :)

I have found when baby wants to face out, moving baby to my back allowed them to see quite well! It also does not strain my back and it supports them very well. Not to be done with little babies though ;)
