Activity gifts for my little family. Stuff that we dream of, but haven't gotten to, or haven't been able to afford- ice skating, The Nutcracker, Disney on Ice, The Polar Express Train ride tickets.
Help with projects- the quilt that I want to make for my daughter, with her baby clothes, scrapbooking, printing pictures, taking family pictures of us,
Asking me what I want- for myself, and even for my child, (I know her pretty well...I COULD be a wealth of info., and keep your gift from being clutter...:-))
Giving to my favorite charities or offering to help us spoil our sponsored child with packages, goodies, or even the upgraded suggested sponsor price that we simply can't afford right now.
Cash- the gift card that works anywhere! :-)
Healthy foods that go with my and my husband's Trim Healthy Mama diet lifestyle.
Household things that I want, but can't afford right now- carpet shampooer, essential oils, an order of my favorite cleaners that are on the pricy side.
Zoo or children's museum membership- we love to go, but the gas etc. is enough of an expense without the hefty ticket prices.
My favorite hair products, lipgloss, etc.

I know I repeated some of things are your WONDERFUL list, but I was dreaming there for a bit. :-)

I love the thrift store gift card idea - I'd have a blast with that.

This is such an excellent gift, I'm trying to stretch my mind in the non-clutter direction as I begin to think about gifts for family. One that I would love for our family is a gift tote filled with Heirloom gardening seeds (especially if they were just exactly what we hope to plant this year).

I'd love to see a list like this for kids! (My boys need new cowboy boots)

THANK YOU MaryEllen! I am in such a no-clutter mood right now, trying to get rid of stuff, and it is discouraging with Christmas right around the corner. Now we need a no-clutter idea list for grandparents to get for grandkids - school supplies, tape, clothes store gift cards, coloring books, money for a college fund - but NO MORE TOYS. All right, I'll get off my soap box now. I love these ideas for homemakers, though.

As the years go by it seems there are fewer things that I want. Now days "time" gifts top my list. Babysitting and a house cleaning are great ideas for moms with young kids!

Great List. If I could add one I would say help with a large project. It is always on the top of my mom's list.

25. A label maker, if they're crafty a Silhouette or Cricket (can you tell what I want for Christmas?).
26. Pre-paid babysitter for a night.
