Ahhh!! what a wonderful article. I had been doing exactly what you mentioned in the beginning, but I will practice daily to remember that HE is enough and even though I am not, with HIM I can do better every day!

Thank you!

This is so beautifully worded! We want so badly to be "enough" and while I know that in a worldly sense? It's important to have faith in yourself. But we do, so often, forget that we need to put our hope, trust and faith in Him! (And if we can't remember to do that for ourselves? How do we teach these little people that??)

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this post today!

This is so good! I think we all need to do a better job finding our identity in Christ- anything else is just humanistic and as you said, as moms if we do this, we deny our kids a chance to see us running to Christ. They need this Godly example otherwise they'll get sucked into the cycle of trying to be enough too. It really is the difference between living in grace and not. Sometimes we get stuck thinking that it doesn't matter because we have grace, but that isn't true either and our kids need to see our real relationship with God. Thanks for sharing!

Interesting perspective - and spot on. I found it interesting because I've only seen that phrase used in terms of striving, trying to be good enough for Jesus - and in that sense, we are enough. He accepts us as we are - imperfect, with flaws, with sin. Often a catch phrase like this can mean different things to different people so it is good to think about what is being communicated. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
