Thanks for your honesty, Joycelyn. It is a daily struggle for me too, and I think that is the biggest reason I struggle with guilt. When I’ve worked hard like I should but still find the house a mess, I blame myself for it. I am focusing on taking baby steps and celebrating the little victories. I will do my best to be an encouragement to you as I share my own journey!

I’m so glad to be on board. I “stumbled” across your blog yesterday and I am so glad that I did. I desperately need to take heed to your advice. When it comes to housekeeping, I AM LAZY!!! Point blank. I hate it! I’m not okay with it, but I put up with it. It’s shameful. I only allow certain people to visit and only at these times or when its time for house inspection do I really clean. I wish I could just throw everything out and start all over. I don’t know where to begin. It seems so overwhelmingly.

I STILL struggle with BAD/GOOD guilt… and I’m a grandma! I do try and pass along these same tips and thoughts to my daughters. It’s easier to give advice than to take my own advice! I just keep on trying– I think its so important to see where the guilt comes from. Outside or within… If it’s within, then action is needed. God speaks to our hearts and our hearts respond. If its outside… I do try and release it. The trouble is…STOPPING TO CONSIDER THE SOURCE!
