I'm glad it was an encouragement! This is one I have to go back and re-read for myself often. :)

Thank you for such wonderful encouragement. I'm in my first trimester with my 3rd, and my other littles are 1 and 3 years old. It's super hard being exhausted ALL the time! I feel like nothing is ever clean or meals planned...so on and so forth. This is just what I needed to hear and I LOVED what you said about music. I never thought of the significance of David playing music for Saul- it truly is soothing to the soul.

[…] We feel we’re not good enough if we’re not doing this or that activity with them. We feel worthless if our house is not clean enough or supper isn’t nutritious enough or if we didn’t spend time doing a certain activity with our kids. We can’t do that Pinterest-worthy craft very well, but somehow we think it makes us a bad mom if we don’t, so we try it anyway and end up frustrated and grouchy.
And prayer-boy it helps! I slept so terribly last night and I had a mile long to-do list this morning (I still didn't get everything checked off) and the last thing I wanted to do was get crabby with the kids. So I prayed before I even got out of bed this morning. Just asking him to help me hold my tongue and speak with tenderness. The day went by smoothly without an outburst from myself and while I am exhausted tonight, I am going to bed with no regrets...even about the things I didn't get done, lol!

Ohhhh this is great! I've never thought of Grace being something to apply in this way, but goodness is it all right. I'm not a mama, but our home has its own struggles, both similar and not, and I do find that taking the time to study the scriptures helps quite a lot. And so does just giving up on things that never go right - life is constantly evolving, we should embrace that. Thank you for sharing this!!
