I truly believe that God has helped me to find your amazing blog. I have only recently discovered it, but I enjoy it so, so much. Today's post was beautiful, and so timely for my life. We are currently in a pretty dire financial situation, and I have been struggling with wanting this season to fade so some of the stress, fear, and insecurity can hopefully fade along with it. Your post made me think ... what about this season am I grateful for? God makes NO mistakes; there is a reason we are here. I realized a few things. My husband and I (17 years this September) have never been closer or more in love. Our family is learning that we can survive on less than we ever dreamed. My Father has reshaped who I am through this experience. My priorities are so different than they were even 2 years ago. God has never left us wanting for food or shelter ... not to say that the children have always been particularly thrilled with the things we have to offer them, but they've tried foods I would never have thought to offer them! They've seen the goodness in the hearts of friends and families through their generosity, and they've learned that money is not the only way, or most important way, you can repay someone.
We are richer because of the hardships that we've been through together. God truly ALWAYS works all things together for the good of those who love Him & are called according to His purpose.
Thank you for reminding me of that.
Love and blessings,
Jessica
