I haven't heard of that book, but I will have to check it out. God is indeed so gracious, and if we are going to be like Him then we need to be gracious too. He only gives us what is best, and when we look back we can often see His hand in places that we couldn't see at the time.

Glad it was helpful. It's been on my heart and mind for a while. Everyday is a new challenge to not over-pressure myself, and to not create stress at home for my other family members!

Well said Andrea! I have had a chronic headache/migraine and nervous system issues for the last 13 years(at the age of 19) and had to learn to give myself grace. Adding children to the mix was a new season in this journey, changing ministries and roles within that has been a new season and each step I have had to be ok with imperfection. I read The Joyful Woman Leadership Manual years ago and in it Joy Rice Martin talked about how God understands the different seasons that come in our life and He does not expect perfection so give yourself a break. I think of that often as the seasons of my life change. I am so thankful that we have a gracious loving God!! It is amazing what we can get through with Him by our side. You will probably look back at this time in your life and think "Wow, I can't believe I was able to do that!" 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 are my favorite verses! I have been following your blog and have been praying for you and your family. God Bless!!
