In reply to Lisa. I'm certainly not an expert. Repetition and consistent correction is all I know to tell you. Try to correct them every time because the more they do it wrong, the more it will reinforce that in their mind.

I can relate to #2. My second child seems to excel in most areas, but she insists on writing letters her “own way.” For example writing an S by starting at the bottom. Any tips on how to encourage her to write the letters the recommended way?

In reply to Suzie Homemaker. Yes, you have plenty of time! The curriculum I mentioned suggests not even starting until closer to 5, but good for you to work on laying the foundation properly!

my biggest issue right now is for her to sit right, hold what ever she is writing with right and do her best at what I put before her. she is almost 4. so we have lots of time. but thanks for the helps as we really get going in sept.
