I have three little boys right now, we’ll see how many we end up with… but one of my biggest responsibilities to them is to raise them to be men like their father, not 27 year old boys like some we know.

Thanks! I want my sons to be like you described. May I suggest the piece called, “Boy Wanted” by Frank Crane? It was a newspaper want ad that appeared in the early 1900s describing the ideal boy (that would make an ideal man). There is much overlap with your suggestions, but I love getting perspective from a different time period. You can find the piece in William Bennett’s Children’s Book of Virtues or by a Google search.
