Kelly,
Parenting with a sense of urgency doesn't mean we don't relax and enjoy spending time with our families. What it does mean is that we are always in tune with the instructions of Deuteronomy 6 where parents are told to teach their children diligently wherever they are and whatever they are doing. The fun family times can actually be some of the best teaching times. It's about practicing a lifestyle of being mindful of eternity; not sitting down for family devotions for 12 hours a day. Hope that helps!

Who can keep that kind of intensity for 18 or more years though? What about down time and living in the moment, no schedule, no agenda, knowing how to relax and enjoy life? I got stressed just reading this.

What a breath of fresh air to read truths based on scripture. (KJV 1611 !!) I can certainly relate, at times throughout this post it could have been me writing !! Very convicting indeed but thanks be to God there's mercy n grace ! And since we have TODAY, I can repent of time wasted and ask God for opportunity afresh ! And if he blesses me with a tomorrow I can be forever grateful for a moment to teach n train in the love of Christ ! So thankful to be a child of The King ! And I'm grateful for fellow believers like you who can encourage us in the journey to take the old paths and walk therein !
Love n prayers dear sister ! Keep on keeping on
