Thanks for your comment, Bethany. The Lord definitely gives grace for whatever it is he calls us to. It doesn't mean it's always an easy road, but it does make us more dependent upon him, which is a good thing! If God gives you children, he will give you the strength to mother them the way he wants you to. That might not look the same as it looks for another mother, but it will be right for you. Prayers to you as well.

Thanks for this - I have M.E. (amongst other issues) and worry about how we would cope if we have children. It's something we both greatly desire, but the question is when, and also how would it work with my health issues - physically mainly and, as you have said, in showing them a right attitude and gentleness in the way I go about things when I am already exhausted. I know that when God gives us something to do, He always gives the grace, strength and ability to do it...some practical advice and encouragement from your own experience is much appreciated too - thank you for blogging. My husband is understanding and when I'm down about not being able to do as much as I'd like, he says that if I have spent time with God reading and praying then it's been a successful day. Sounds similar to you with having a basic list of what needs to be done - which already sounds like plenty for you to be doing!
With love and prayers, Bethany (UK).
